A home should never be so difficult to obtain. I know for a fact that an agreement can be written up to reduce your ssi income by the agreed upon monthly payment. That could guarantee a lender their money. I've had a ridiculously hard time finding a home. I'm disabled as well and my credit is fine. I would suggest raising hell until someone listens. It's sad but that seems to be prudent. Make your voice heard. I'm sure you won't be the only one exhausted from a hapless pursuit of happiness.
